The Church's Purposes

Christian Life- A prepared people fulfilling a prepared plan.

Ephesians 2:8-9

1. His workmanship - work God does for us
2. Created in Christ - work God does in us
3. Unto Good Works- work God does through us
4. We are literally a new creation with similarities to Genesis 1
5. The Power of the local Church is God's choice to carry His Mission

All Churches are Unique and very different, with personalities

1. Church at Jerusalem = Passion for souls, generous spirit
2. Church at Antioch = Missionary minded
3. Church at Galatia = Legalism reigned
4. Church ar Ephesus = Working and Laboring
5. Church at Phillipi = Joyful Church
6. Church at Corinth = Internal Issues and over preoccupation with spiritual gift
7. Church at Pergamos = Willing to suffer and die for their faith

NOTE: All these Churches needed a snowflake mind set.

1. To Exalt God in pure Worship .............................................Why? To grow stronger
2. To Evangelize our world in Outreach ................................... Why? To grow larger
3. To Encourage each other through Fellowship .........................Why? To grow closer
4. To Edify one another through Discipleship .............................Why? To grow deeper
5. To Equip Everyone for the Service of God .............................Why? To grow broader
